A "Camp Hulen" day to com- memorate the 100 year anniversary of Palacios is planned for November 8, 2008. It will be held at the Palacios Recreation Center.

June, 1903-4
In 1903, the Palacios townsite company arranged with the Southern Pacific Railroad to extend its line to Palacios with the first train arriving on June 29. The company also began construction of a pavilion on the South Bay in June, 1904.
